In the mid 80's Dr John Booker (center) a Veterinarian and avid outdoorsman, sought an area that combined his passion with a unique culture and phenomenal folks for his second home. He found it at the end of the earth in the fishing village of Atlantic, where he became a "Ding Batter", the affectionate name Down East for non-locals. Through the decades the ding batter name faded and Dr Booker, while not a local, became accepted as almost a local, which, down here means a lot. Dr Booker found his paradise and in August of 2023 he opened up two of his properties for short term rentals, giving others the opportunity to experience what makes Down East so unique. These days Seashore Stays management is handled by the family members dedicated to making your experience phenomenal and your accommodations comfortable.
